It is probably unhelpful to think of specific barriers to learning as caused by single factors. More often there will be more than one strand, and the way each of us learns is the outcome of interaction between our own unique patterns of strengths and weaknesses.
Intervention is likely to be most effective when these contributory factors are understood as fully as possible. This is the aim of StARNet - to tailor responses and strategies in the way that is most effective for each individual (and unique) learner.
